History
March 2021
In March, we began to work on ideas for our capstone proposal. Since Stephanie is more experienced in 2D animation and Kristen is more experienced in 3D modeling, we decided on a idea to incorporate the two skills together. We originally wanted to create a 3D environment with 2D animated objects and characters moving to a song, everything would be viewed in an isometric perspective. We were heavily influenced by the video and game below. We wanted to create five different scenes involving different environments and music.
June 2021
During this time, we worked on expanding our original concept. We decided to narrow it down to 3 scenes so that they could be more detailed, and instead of the scene reacting to music, we chose to instead focus on the character and environment interaction. This is when we decided to make the project 3D modeled and animated. We also came up with the idea to make the project about students' lives in a magic academy. There would be two witches: a witch in her bedroom practicing magic and a witch in a garden. We created a compilation of character designs that inspired us and a Pinterest board to get general inspiration.

July 2021
Pre Production began during this time, and several concept arts were created in order to flesh the idea out more. We decided to create two environments: One of a witch in her dorm, and the other of a witch taking care of the school's magic garden and dragon. These two witches were later named Dosie (bedroom witch) and Plumeria (garden witch).

August 2021
Concept sketches for the project continued during this time, and by mid month, production of the base models for the witches began.
October 2021
Rigging for the base model was completed so that they could be transferred to the character models. The character textures went through two passes to find more a more cohesive color scheme. Meanwhile, props were being modeled for the environments.
November 2021
As we approach the end of our capstone we are finalizing animations and environments in unity.
